Adopt-A-Canoe

A very popular program has been our adopt-a-canoe sponsorship. Each week your canoe is out on the water protecting wildlife!

We have grown to a fleet of eleven canoes on a custom-built trailer that we use in our weekly canoe clean-ups. The cost of materials, repair and maintenance, administrative overhead, etc. add up to a considerable amount of money to maintain. We calculate that it costs about $300 for each canoe clean-up. We are delighted to find members in the community who want to support our work by adopting a canoe for $2,000 per year. In addition to decorating the adopted canoe with your logo or message, we send out press releases and promote our sponsors in our newsletter and on the web site, while tabling, and at every opportunity to reach the public. Our budget is small, but very real, and if every canoe had a sponsor we would no longer have to worry about meeting our bills. Newsletter Sponsorship Program

Sponsorship of the postage or printing of the newsletter is greatly needed and very appreciated. Eventually, we would like to offer the newsletter online so that interested members and volunteers can view our newsletter without incurring postage or paper cost.

  • We currently print 150 copies of our 8-page newsletter.
  • First Class postage cost = $51.00.
  • Printing the newsletter cost = $57.00.
  • Total cost per month = $108.00.

Other Ways to Give

Company Match Gift Program

Check with your Human Resources Department at work. Some companies will send a check to ECO-Action equal to the same $$ that you are willing to give to support ECO-Action.
